Please call PepsiCo's customer relations line at 1-800-433-2652 today.
When you call, please be brief in your comments. Politely tell the operator that:
* You are a PFLAG member and want to thank Pepsi for its support of your family;
* You plan to purchase Pepsi products whenever possible to show your support for the company’s welcoming policies; and
* You support Pepsi and your area bottlers and will refuse to participate in the boycott.
For more information on Pepsi’s generous gift to Straight for Equality, click here.
Thank you for your support of PFLAG, Straight for Equality and PepsiCo. Then, forward this alert to all of your friends . . . ask them to support PepsiCo . . . and remember when you shop to buy Pepsi products, like Tropicana, Frito Lay, Quaker and Gatorade.

Premieres on Saturday, January 24 @ 9pm (EST) on Lifetime (check your local listings)
The expanded Prayers for Bobby website launched yesterday, and is online at http://www.mylifetime.com/on-tv/movies/prayers-bobby.
The trailer for the film is on our website at http://pflagblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/prayers-for-bobby-trailer.html.
We are encouraging chapters to host parties on the 24th, and to let us know the details about their party. If you are hosting an event, please email Adam Ratliff, at aratliff@pflag.org, with the details (where, time, RSVP info and local contact) so that we can include your viewing party on the PFLAG National website. We’ll be launching a special Prayers for Bobby section of the PFLAG National site today, and will be constantly updating it with information on viewing parties happening across the country.
I hope that many of you will be able to use this opportunity to celebrate the transformative role that PFLAG has played in many people’s lives. Please let me know if you have any questions.

- Call the Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and have them connect you to your Representative (based on your zip code).
Tell them: “I am a constituent and I would like you to please tell Representative _______ that I strongly support the Employment Non-Discrimination Act that would ban discrimination against all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.”
Then, call back and leave messages with your two Senators too!
At home, set up a visit!
Request an in-person meeting for you and other community members with your two Senators and your Representative (or their staffs) in their home district offices. You can call the district offices to request these meetings but they often want you to fax a meeting request. To find contact info for district offices, go to www.senate.gov and www.house.gov.
Sample meeting request letters, and other talking points and resources for your meetings, are available at PFLAG’s Bringing the Message Home website.
Let us know!
Let us know how your meeting went. Contact Rhodes Perry (rperry@pflag.org), PFLAG National's Field and Policy Manager.
Also visit www.unitedenda.org, and fill out the Lobby Report Form to tell us whether your Representative and Senators expressed support.

- Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day, with food, fun and family! Next week in honor of World AIDS Day there will be a display of some panels of the Names Project Memorial Quilt at the OnCenter in Syraucse, NY. Details follow this link: Quilt .
I will be going on Monday December 1st when it opens to the public at 11am (there is a ceremony before hand on the first day). I am meeting another member of our chapter there, if anyone is interested in joining us please e-mail me here: Teri
At our last meeting we had a lively discussion which I thought was rather productive. I am looking forward to the coming year, I am hoping to do great things with our chapter and with your help we can do spectacular things! Thank you to Barb for bringing us this far, I've got huge shoes to fill and I'm looking forward to working with Don (as our treasurer) and Ruth (as our secretary) and the rest of the folks in our chapter, old and new in 2009.
Have a great Holiday Season and we'll meet again in January!
